I think this might be some kind of connectivity issue?
When I try browsing the normal way, front page works as normal. However every time I try to access the comments or forum, I get this;
Quote: | 503 - Service Temporarily Unavailable
"Anime News Network is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. Please try again later." |
But new comments are appearing in new articles, so I fired up my vpn to test, and with that everything seems to work normally, forum and all.
So, is it still maintenance, or something else. It's been like this for over a day now...

Yeah, I've had this problem at home as well. It worked again for like 30 minutes, but then stopped once more. At work, it seems to load fine.

I'm having the same problem on my computer, and on my phone too until I switched to cellular data. I use Comcast, is that what you guys use too?

I experienced this probably earlier this morning but then it cleared up.

I'm having the same problem can't access the forums on my PC with Comcast. Right now I'm using my smartphone to access and post this reply. It's been like this for several hours now.

I have not been able to access the forums for the last couple of days, it has been so weird.

Whole morning I had the problem at my home PC again, though it cleared up just now - around the same time as it cleared up yesterday. Yesterday, when I got back home from work I couldn't access the forums again so I guess I'll see if the problem persists later this evening.

The Encyclopedia is completely inaccessible on the admin server at the moment.
I think Mayu-chan is current feeling ill.

I, too, am having this problem. I thought it was just maintenance but seeing as I'm able to a was the site from my phone's data, I thought it was maybe my internet. Both wifi and Ethernet didn't work for me so I thought it was IPS issue. But I'm uncertain what the issue really is now.
Edit: the problem has been persisting for the last 2-3 days for me.

Bizarre. I visit the forums multiple times a day and I haven't encountered any of this stuff. Maybe I'm just really, really lucky?

Happened again this morning for me. Right now it's not a big deal because the period of time I'm experiencing has not been long. I am concerned however that if left unaddressed the issue will become more serious.

I've been having this problem on and off since yesterday. Sometimes switching from fast to regular server seemed to temporarily fix it, other times i could at least read the forums after logging out (i couldn't post that way, of course...). Overall it appears to be relatively random...
