I still haven't reed the original manga yet, just watch the anime up to a certain point. Definitely will keep an eye out for this one.

Man, really? Just give the full Jinchu arc animated already. The OVA was butt.

Or better yet, give it a full anime reboot with new staff (meaning keep Furuhashi the hell away from it).

Or even better: make this new animated adaptation in the more realistic style of the OAVs, and rearrange the scenarios and events and tone down the super-fights (like the confused beginning, the over-the-top fights, their frequency...). Off course, the Tsuioku-hen can be skipped. And if this can be delivered as a few OAVs series (or movies?), this would be for ghe best.
Last thing: keep the actress of Kenshin and recruit Iwasaki again.
More seriously, haven't we already enough animated manga or novels? Why do people keep begging producers for more of the (exact) same thing?

Come on, Watsuki. Make this manga completely decanonize Seisohen. Make Kenshin stay with Kaoru forever

Because whatever animated adaptations that get made tend to not not do justice to the source material or get bogged down with terrible filler.....the latter of which people weren't too fond of with the last Kenshin anime.

Why would he need to do that when he pretty much has acknowledged it's not canon since most ofus know how the manga ends.

If they could do a remake, then a dub would be necessary as well. Dorothy Fahn likely would love to return as Kaoru and Richard Hayworth as Kenshin.

Compared to Kenshin's popularity, how popular have Watsuki Nobuhiro's post-Kenshin manga titles been? I'm aware he's made a few, including some Frankenstein-themed one.
PS. I wonder if a remake of the Kenshin anime that adapts everything up to the final Jinchu arc could be possibly made in the future, similar to the Parasyte anime. They could use the semi-realistic style from the recent OVA, and perhaps flesh out some more historical aspects of Meiji-era Japan.

I didn't know that the Tsuioku-hen animation didn't do justice to Rurôni Kenshin. It left me quite the opposite impression.
As for the reason you answered, that's one more reason to not beg for more. (or rather that's part of what I meant)

The Parasyte series had to adapt itself to the 201x.
About Kenshin, are you talking about the Kyôtô-hen summary OAVs? Isn't the 1990s OAVs style better for an historical series? The addition of the boats was one of the rare things I liked in the Kyôtô-hen and it would be indeed a nice idea to make room for mmore illustrations of the era.

Hmm... never heard of any hate against Kazuhiro Furuhashi before. Pretty much all of his series are consistently good (You're Under Arrest, Rurouni Kenshin, Chevalier D'Eon, Hunter X Hunter 1999, Gundam Unicorn).
People are aware that he directed the TV show, the OVAs, and the "New Kyoto Arc," right? Very different visual styles but same director.

Tsuioku-hen (Trust & Betryal) was fine, it was Seisohen (Reflection) that was bad.

And out of all of that, the only good things to come out of his involvement with Kenshin was the first 2 arcs & Tsuioku-hen while the rest of it was trash that's better off forgotten (especially Seisohen with it's ending). Those recent Kyoto arc OVAs didn't help either and only proved that Furuhashi doesn't understand the source material and if ever rebooted, needs to stay away.
