PokeCoins have no real value. You can't cash them in and exchange them for real currency. So by what exchange rate will they use to figure out how much real money people have tied up in PokeCoins...the arbitrary amount the game establishes if you want to buy coins to purchase in-game items?
This seems like the Japanese government wants a cut of Niantic's profits... |

So just the amount of unused PokeCoins in general? You can (slowly) accumulate PokeCoins without spending a bit of real-world currency...

I only spent $1 for 20 pokeballs and now I stopped playing P.Go already.
Thank you for boring game Niantic because I was willing to pay but you dont want make something more like Pokemon should become. |
