Maybe a movie sequel will make it more popular? The story itself have potential to get a sequel. Like the mouse infection origin or Harekaze set to sea again

Don't believe the Kancolle anime is set in an defined place. But Yokosuka Naval Base is a historic WWII naval base, and some of the ships in Kancolle would have operated from there.
Fleet Girls is the newest flavor of the month. But I need to see it also. It is good that Yokosuka is getting this much press.

Huh, I didn't think High School Fleet had that kind of brand power. I wouldn't really think any anime had the power to triple revenue for anything short of Evangelion, One Piece, or something else of comparable mainstream popularity.
Well, unless these stores were quiet out-of-the-way places that don't get a lot of visitors in the first place.
