About half of this list I have rewatched in the past year. Maybe Layzer and 999 need some updates, but Macross had Ishiguro. We don't have a modern Ishiguro working on those genres.

Well one thing is what fans want and if they will actualy care about this poll voting, seen plenty of this polls like which anime fans want to recieve a sequel etc and nothin came out of this in the end so meh w/e.....

there have been a lot of rank charts..that focus on which anime adaptation they would like to see lately..and the one that is number usually gets an anime made not long after.
Seeing as Galaxy Express 999 made it to the top..i guess that would be the one we will see a remake off soon.

I imagine someday Macross the First will get the Gundam the Origin OVA treatment. I don't think the manga is finished yet though

How can "Dragon Ball" be rebooted? It would just be Kai but with modern animation. "Akira," on the other hand, I want to see get redone to be manga accurate.
A series I'd like to see get redone is "Fist of the North Star." Not only something that cuts out all the filler and finish the manga, but also tweaks it to fix some of the plot holes caused by Tetsuo Hara and Buronson making the story as they went along.

Remake Dragon Ball??? BLASPHEMY! That being said, I would want an anime series on Akira to finish the manga content, and Captain Tsubasa could use a modern update - anything to get it dubbed.

DragonBall doesn't need a reboot, in fact the series is pretty much a zombie right now, but Akira I would dig it if the rumored tv series comes true so we can see the real story of the manga
