Adult Swim's holding a poll to decide which episodes to air during their "best of" program in two weeks. The fan nominees are pretty predictable, but it's kinda cool to see which episodes the creators of InuYasha and Big O chose.

So...which ones would you have picked?

For Big O I'd so with Missing Cat, A Legacy of Amadeus, and Winter Night Phantom. InuYasha...eh, I haven't watched enough to know if there are any good ones. ^_^;

EDIT: Swordfish_II dug this up:

In the case of Big O and InuYasha, we did not have access to show creators. But we did track down the producers.

Big O: Sean Akins and Jason DeMarco (co-producers of season two)

InuYasha: These picks were obtained from InuYasha producers (not creators) via a convoluted system of email between our own SwimRaven and the show distributor.

pfft, their polls never work for me. Mad I was going to vote for the Inuyasha fight against Sesshomaru and When You Wish Upon a Weinstein, but...oh well.

Hmm, I wonder how deep they went to get selections from the creators of Big-O and Inu Yasha. Did they go all the way to Japan, or did they just stop at Viz and Bandai.

I doubt that Adult Swim spoke with Sunrise or Rumiko Takahashi. So it's possibly true that they went to speak with Bandai and Viz.

From AS.com forums:

Big O: Sean Akins and Jason DeMarco (co-producers of season two)

InuYasha: These picks were obtained from InuYasha producers (not creators) via a convoluted system of email between our own SwimRaven and the show distributor. Interestingly, the producers provided a bit of explanation, which we share below.

The Girl Who Overcame Time...and the Boy Who Was Just Overcome
"The reason why this was selected was because of its high quality."

Return of the Tragic Priestess, Kikyo
"Highlights Kikyo's resurrection, and also portrays Kikyo's beautifully drawn illustrations."

Mystical Hand of the Monk, Miroku
"First appearance of the character Miroku."

Return to the Place Where We First Met
"Kagome and Inuyasha make amends after their argument, deepening their feelings for each other in the process."

Ha, there we go. The Big O one is rather weak, but InuYasha producers? Yeah, that works.

Considering how "convulted" it was to talk to the producers of "Inuyasha", how do you think they would've preferred doing it for "Big O": asking someone in Japan, or someone closer to home? Laughing

Seeing as how they helped fund the second season I would have though that Big-O would be either to contact someone in Japan on than Inu Yasha.

I'd vote for Family Guy, Trigun, or Bebop. I'd pick the episode of Bebop where Ed comes into the story. The Trigun one would have to be the first episode. Surprised And it doesn't matter which Family Guy it is, it's all good. Anime smallmouth

For Inu-Yasha, I just voted for "Return to the Place Where We First Met," since I thought it was a very touching episode...

I like those episodes too, but none of those episodes were nominated. I would have picked Winter Night Phantom, but since I couldn't I picked The Greatest Villian.

For Inuyasha I picked Mysterical Hand of the Monk, Miroku

If Cowboy Bebop and Trigun were there I would have picked Hard Luck Woman and Paradise.
