I guess the censorship makes it a sexually repressed culture... |

I suposse this is the reason you posted that because the to love ur darkness manga is famous mostly because it plays so much with censorship laws that people reading it are anxiously awaiting for the new number just to see what new trick has the mangaka found to slip a vagina throuhg the censors (editor's note, that's a bellybutton) |

"College" girls, not high school girls... Hentai stopped to explicitely advertise the age of its heroines back in the first half of the 90s - take DEZ titles for example : La Blue Girl in 92 tells us Miko's real age, Twin Angels in 1994 does not. Visual signifiers (sailor fuku) are more than enough, and safer. |

I can assure you it's a real problem even if you're 100% legal. Paypal recently excused itself from all involvement with FAKKU, when previously they were ok with people making physical (book purchases) meaning people who wanted digital copies, or to subscribe to the digital magazine subscription had to use a credit card. Some credit cards also have holds meaning you have to call in and say "I want no holds on adult purchases". I have no idea why these are even there in the first place, but they do exist with various companies. And then there's places like Amazon, where they're usually ok with erotic adult content, but have recently taken up a crusade against erotic manga for some reason and has begun removing a lot of it. |

So that explains it! I've always wondered why I was able to find uncensored hentai! A shame they had to give it up. Though I don't necessarily mind if some things are left to the imagination. My husband and I watched one hentai that showed an extremely detailed vagina, I mean like on a medical textbook scale. Yeah, we both agreed that was way too much!

There was a time in the late 80s/90s when international publisher either had the original artist redrew the genetalia or had someone else draw it for them, if no uncensored art existed. This tropic a mess regardless and a barrel without a bottom, so hold on to your sanity fellow users and just don´t. Don´t feed the ANN kraken...
PS: I looked it up and either 7 or 8 hentai OVAs will come out in July. |

Doesn't seem to mention the fact some titles came out in Europe which could account for a good % of uncut OVAs out there.

Look at this ish here. See...this is why ultimately some yaoi hentai is actually number #1 on MyAnimeList among its "Most Members". |

Given some of the poorly drawn anatomies that usually winds up in hentai (and anime in general) this seems to be a rather funny complaint . |

When has Amazon ever not allowed hentai? Even doing a search for "anime" I can find pages and pages of titles from Critical Mass.

Same here Things make sense now. A few years back uncensored hentai started becoming more difficult to find and then I tried looking for doujins a d found there were much easier to ''aquire'' compared to movies. Well nowadays eroge and VN are what's got me entertained here's to hoping mangagamer stays prosperous and keep licensing older as well as newer stuff. |

I'm telling you as part of a hentai manga publisher that they are indeed actively removing and banning books they deem inappropriate. 6+ months ago you could find plenty of Project H and FAKKU books on the site, and but then they began denying some titles, before flat out refusing the post anymore of our titles and denying to let us restock and be apart of the Amazon fulfillment services. They canceled pre-orders, and never gave a proper explanation as to why. Some Project H books fell through the ban cracks (maybe because they have censorship?), but you can't get FAKKU books on there anymore, and Project H and Fakku are the only two erotic manga publishers left in the US. The fact that you can buy plenty of other adult erotic books and anime is kind of hypocritical, but it shows they've begun to start removing certain products. |

I don't think I'd call that the reason Japan is a sexually repressed culture, but it's one factor among many. You would think that they would try to correct their spiral toward extinction by opening up to sexual interaction as not such a gross and un-pure thing. It's funny how telling so many hentai are about Japanese views on sexuality. |

I never got into Hentai not even back in it's hey day mostly because I was too embarrassed to walk into an adult video store hell I wouldn't even buy Hentai from suncoast or fye because I was afraid that I would get strange looks from the store clerk or other customers.

Maybe because a lot of eromanga involve non-adults, so since they don't have time to check each and every page, they just remove the lot of it? |
