Maybe there is going to be a re-adaptation.

Would be nice to get a 2nd season was really surprised that it didn't get one with 11k~ bd-dvd sales even though they went and made some original ending with the last episodes.
Anyway lets see what they gonna do i really do hope its a sequel either tv series or a movie then *.*

Someone needs to fix the article; Blue Exorcist runs in Jump SW, not Weekly Shonen Jump.
Anyway, if this is a second season, I hope they pull a Black Butler and ignore the final few episodes of the first season.

I really wasn't aware this is still a think but considering Aniplex is going absolute full throttle with just constant unending projects with Hiroyuki Sawano music so I guess it's like whatever. Probably a movie or one cour TV adaptation dated back to like 2018 just because they have so many projects and are forever adding more without even hammering out the details and planning on the ones they've already announced.
I really feel for the animators at A-1 that have to grind out these sorts of hours and constant turn over of projects for dirt pay wondering what they got themselves into. No time to get attached to any project, no way to really contribute or put in any particular stamp or note on it beyond the grunt work and maybe a very deep listing in the credits, no room for advancement in any way, just endless drawing for 12 episodes or a 60 minute film and then onto the next thing.
Pachinko or some mobage thing is also of course a possibility cause you know it's all about the money with this production committee.

My first post to this forum! Saw this post and just had to join the bandwagon in hoping for a "Brotherhood"-esque reboot of the anime that follows the manga (and also not as dragged out).
I suppose I'd also be down for a 2nd season but from a continuity standpoint, it just wouldn't make sense to suddenly get into the Kyoto / Impure King arc. And with the stage play about to happen for that story arc, it also wouldn't make sense to mix in promo for an anime version of the same story arc to confuse everyone.
Also, the post says the countdown ends July 5th for EST, but it should be July 3rd since Japan is ahead of North America time-wise --- July 4th 8:00am JST = July 3rd 7:00pm EST.

I've had the Blue Exorcist manga on my 'to buy' list, along with Soul Eater for a while, but I've been putting them off in hopes of new anime adaptations some day.
To anyone following the manga, is it showing any signs of coming to a conclusion? If not, is there plenty of new material that they could adapt into another season? I'm not getting my hopes up and It's just as likely to be a stage play or pachislot game, but I'm curious if a brotherhood style treatment is even possible at this time.

For your first question, no, it doesn't seem like it's ending anytime soon, there are a lot of open questions and it doesn't look like Kato is in any rush to answer them
For the second one, there's a buttload of material left to make more anime. To put it in perspective, the first anime covered roughly up to volume 4, plus the anime-original second half. The series currently has 16 volumes published. The thing is that vol 5 starts a relatively long arc, and it wasn't finished when the anime began airing, so they weren't able to use it back then.
