Unf. CCA on Blu-Ray. It could have been a mother to me, Amuro. Do want.
The movie does get a... reputation for its lack of explanations of certain aspects and Quess being annoying (can't disagree with that second thing, though I actually pitied her), but it is such a lavish spectacle. I haven't bought CCA since it first came out here on DVD, and I bet it looks fierce on Blu-Ray.

I was hoping CCA would get a Blu-Ray release. My DVD of this doesn't really hold up to well on my big screen. I can't wait to watch this again in high definition.

Awesome on Counter Attack. "Hey Cool", on Build Fighter. I mean, IMO Try was only okay compared to season 1.

But did it move or excite you? I recall there being pacing issues in crucial sequences, such that the major dramatic turns barely registered. Would you say that the film improves with subsequent viewings?

the me of ten years ago would have jumped on all these Gundam titles but alas other genres have grabbed my attention and money. Maybe one day the Gundam franchise will interest me again.

One of the few very good dubs from Ocean. If only all Ocean dubs were good.

I think CCA is great, just to see what was going through the head of Char by that point, one of the most iconic characters in anime. Plus it was at one point the cap to wrap up the Universal Century.

I have the old DVD from Beez of Char's Counterattack. Curious to see how the quality of that compared to the upcoming BD will be.

I am also looking forward to add Char's Counterattack on BD to my collection. It is not that well written, but I still liked plenty of it, and it should look amazing on BD.
The only remaining Gundam shows that I really need on BD are the 8th MS Team and 0083.

Just when I pulled my original DVD out from storage to lend to a friend too.
What's been cathartic was seeing how various installments of Super Robot Wars played out the events of CCA, and two games stand out for this.
SRW Alpha 2 literally has Char go through the motions of it, causing a great shock to the cast, eventually leading to his inevitable defeat, and one of few times you could potentially see the Nightingale in place of the Sazabi.
The more recent Z3 game however did it in a way that feels like the scenario writers of the game were finding a way to make this more of a plot towards a greater cause that ultimately works. The reason for this is because in SRW Z1, Char as Quattro witnesses the Black History of Turn A and discovers the "canonical events," even promising himself that he won't let it happen. Back to Z3, where because of events that bring Gundam Unicorn into the mix, Char gets to interact with Full Frontal!
