Makes me wonder if they are partnering with Best Buy again to bring us this demo...

Yeah, not going in to the city in the morning to sign up just to have to come back another day.

They should just put this demo on their various kiosks or even better, the eshop.

Nintendo couldn't just simply put the demo up on the eShop? Confused It isn't worth the hassle to drive to New York just to sign up for an open spot for the demo and then appear the next morning, only to risk not being able to play it at all.

If the demo is particularly big (as an open world game probably would be) that might not be feasible. Nintendo might also be worried about data mining if they release a demo to the wild.

That's way too much of a hassle for me to drive all the way to NYC just to sign up for a "chance" to play the new Legend of Zelda demo. Rolling Eyes

I wonder what the reaction is going to be. Sheer excitement over getting to play an upcoming Zelda game or disappointment from the unrealistic rumored expectations for this game?

There may be an eShop demo later. Nintendo's demos are...odd. For now, I'm guessing the purpose of this is to build hype.

I live in New York so this is a really easy commute for me. I could walk to the Nintendo Store on a good day. Currently still playing Skyward Sword off and on so I will skip this event for now. I did finish Hyrule Warriors since I go through those type of games pretty fast.

I went to the Nintendo store for the Mega Man 10 event a few years back. I got a Bad Box Art Mega Man 10 T-shirt for free and got to play the game for as long as I wanted. In the store you could hear Mega Man songs being played from the entire series.

Good times! If you like Zelda as much as I like Mega Man I recommend going and having a blast.

If you don't mind the high cost of living, trash littered sidewalks, riding the train with rats, bedbugs hitching a ride with you wherever you go and obnoxious people who'll get wound up over you doing so much as eating pizza with a fork it's an okay place to live Razz

Every Zelda game since about Majora's Mask has either had hype backlash pre or post release don't expect that to change too much with this game
