Toki is ranked #2? Just below Teru? That seems odd. I mean, her gimmick is neat and she's very cute with Ryuuka (who I vastly prefer as a character over Toki) but she never really came across as that monstrous in the anime. She lost almost 20,000 points against Teru, which granted is slightly better than Kuro, but Kuro is a terrible player. This just makes me wish even more that spoiler[ Senriyama advanced rather than Achiga], what a lousy cast of characters.

That's a misreading. What #2 ranked is Senriyama high school, not Toki.
Yes, the source sentence can be interpreted in both ways, Toki is #2 or Senriyama is. I can't blame this mistake. But if you read or watched Saki series, you know it meant the latter. Current #2 ranked player is Arakawa Kei btw. |
