It was but due to issues with the production staff and the studio, they had to cancel it. so we got it as a sequel novel instead.

Hearing and seeing the OP performed at Animelo Summer Live 2013 with extended introduction was amazing. I previously wasn't aware that a second season was proposed and cancelled  .

Which me and most other people will never be able to read because it's in Japanese and has no sign of getting an english release. I've looked online and haven't found any translations. I really liked this series and wish an anime sequel could have been made.

I've seen the OVA, pretty images aside it had literally nothing to continue whatsoever. The story was over after the final battle unless you have the Hideazue and Galactic Union having a battle on Earth. A pachislot makes sense since the series had only a few action scenes, sadly. This makes me miss Evageeks and Mecha Talk.
