Looks like father and son to me.
Someone convince/ explain to me how this is not outright pedophilia...

It's not father/son, but it is Adult and pretty much a minor, although I think Japan has a younger age limit than the west.

I think it's not considered pedophilia unless they have sex, and none of that happens here.
From what I've heard it's just a sweet domestic story of two adopted brothers, it's just that one of them loves the younger one romantically. Nothing too deadly though.

Oh dear lord. The little brother looks so...little, and child-like. Yeesh. I'm actually kind of uncomfortable.

The fact that I might be getting this before Doukyuusei makes me sadder than anything else.

It's Bunny Drop all over again. Seriously though can we have something like What Did You Eat Yesterday?or My Brother's Husband adapted into an anime? Please?

I would buy all the merch (within reason and good taste) for "What Did You Eat yesterday". I want a cook book form that manga.

The age difference between the two is 7 years. After a time, Ren (the boy) is 16 and Haru (blond host-kinda guy) is 24.
Do with that what you will.
(Though I must admit the animators' hands must have slipped with how big Haru is in comparison with Ren)

OMG YES. I absolutely love "What Did You Eat Yesterday", and would love to see that (and indeed many other Fumi Yoshinaga works) adapted into anime.
