I'm pleasantly surprised to see this getting picked up. I'll be pre-ordering every volume of this series. Kogami's absence in season 2 was a major point against that season. (and the second season wasn't all that great to begin with)

Yo ANN next time on of you guys have hold of a dark horse rep can you shake em down for some info on where all these manga series they started are? I've asked on their social media accounts but they only ever reply to people gushing about the new issue of hellboy and the like.

I'd check out a Kogami prequel manga for sure, especially if it led to the first season of the anime which I've been meaning to watch. But as far as manga series from Dark Horse go, I'm also waiting for Drifters volume 4. I'm hoping it at least comes out around the time the Drifters anime airs.

cant be surprised by that. while kamui was an ok villain, he kinda pales in comparison to makashima. and togane had way too much of a mommy complex that's really disturbing from time to time.
however the major point against that season was actually how much of an annoying SOB mika was. so much so that some people have her in the same category next to kuroko shirai and nina einstein as the most annoying and hated side characters ever.

I am really hoping for a good story but since Urobuchi is not writing this, it feels a little dubious to me.
As a prequel, this should probably focus on Kogami - Sasayama - Shogo Makishima, or is it something else?
I am looking forward to more of Makishima, that guy is like the top villain for me.
