I hope he apologizes and then the police let's him free. He was being annoying but going to jail just because TWO HUNDRED prank calls is a bit uhhh hard. Also I feel like this is somewhat cute.

And just wanted to bash the police, using the one corny pop reference he symbolized with it.
If you're going to do Lupin prank calls, do them right: Wisecracks are as a necessity as Yasuo Yamada imitations.
