As I understand it, everything he did for Konami now belongs to them, so unless he buys it back, he can't use them. (This isn't Konami being arseholes, it's a fairly standard thing in creative industries.)

Uggh I really hope Konami doesn't own Z.O.E. I loved that series. The world needs more mecha games that aren't Gundam!!!

In all honesty his works would make a really poor anime. I've always enjoyed the games in terms of gameplay but always found the writing in the games to be poor at the least. He takes a ton of western sci-fi tropes and just throws them in a blender to make what ever nonsensical story there is. He should stick to doing games which are his forte.

I don't think he necessarily wants an anime adaptation, more like he wants an anime to expand the universe and give more development to characters and also make the game and anime connect.

1) Konami IPs so probably.
2) He really only supervised ZOE. It was mainly Okamura's and Murata's baby and the fact that people mainly give Kojima excess credit is depressing although not really surprising given Kojima was much more of a public face than either of those two.

All Kojima has to say is "I want to make an anime" and somebody will get in contact with him to ask what he needs for it to get done. I would definitely watch something by Kojima.

that wouldn't be unfamiliar territory,since Kojima was involved with Zone of The Enders and that was also a multimedia project (the first game was released at the same time as the Idolo OVA,which served as a prequel to the first game from Viola's POV,and months later they did the Dolores TV series,which acts as a direct sequel to Idolo and is set sometime after the first game. )
