Why? As someone who hates Cyberstep for many reasons I'm surprised this is getting an anime. Well I hate Cosmic Break(Haven't tried the new game though) and I hate Splashfighters + GetAmped 2 for obvious reasons. I tried Onigiri during the initial release but didn't care for it but I've seen it gained lots of popularity as of late and I can't seem to think of any reason for it. I'll have to try it again for myself but this could save their other games fanbase.

Well this is...interesting. While I couldn't really see myself recommending the game to people it can be fun every once in a while. Seeing it get an anime after being with the NA version since alpha feels strange. Since the game is pretty story focused I could see this actually being pretty interesting depending on how its adapted and the major boss fights against the kamikui should be entertaining to watch assuming the show actually has a budget.

In most if not all promo stuff for the game whenever it shows the "player character" it uses that brown haired girl. They could still go either way of course but I think making her the MC seems more likely because of that. |

That's one possibility. Another possibility, truer to LN/VN adaptations (I haven't seen a lot of browser/RPG/etc adaptations to know if it still applies, but) is that the promotional art features the Potential Love Interest, with the closer one usually being The True Interest, and the male lead is absent. Again, I hope it won't be the case (they are enough harem shows already, no need to make not-harem franchise into one as well). Also, the game's animated PV gave off a strong Strike Witches vibe. |
