Just as long as "Attack on Titan" season 2 doesn't air during its timeslot, I think things will be fine.

Whats 'nichigo' ?? Is that like some Japanese-sounding word they made up?

"Nichi" is short for "nichiyoubi" (Sunday), and "go" means 5. It's just an abbreviation of "Sunday at 5 PM".
Is there anything special about this timeslot that they gave it its own abbreviation? The only other timeslot named like that I've heard of is gekkyuu (Mondays at 9 PM), so I assume this is kind of A Thing?
And IIRC didn't Haikyuu!! season 1 air in that time slot as well? I'm not sure if it was on that station, but I definitely recall it being on a Sunday in the late afternoon.

Yes and Arslan and Magi s1. Usually its special since its a time when you get a ton of viewers versus showing an anime during some late night spot. These manga adaptations that aired then had explosive manga sales so this is great news for heroacademia.

Considering how much this comic is being talked up as "the new Naruto", I'm glad it has a decent time slot. It's always sad when shows with a lot of mainstream appeal get stuck at 1 am on a school night.

Given the hype that this series has, I would be surprised if Viz or Crunchyroll don't get it. I would imagine that this will become 1 of this year's biggest hits.
Speaking of AoT 2, I think it's about time they at least tell us what quarter it will (if at all) air this year.

I heard it was going to start in April, which was why I was concerned about MHA airing during its timeslot.
