I haven't really gotten into NANA yet (namely because my only exposure to the series was random chapters in Shojo Beat) but I hope to one day visit it. I really hope by the time I get around to that she'll start work on the story again.
I know one think that attracts me to the series is the art. It's so beautiful! And these images are just that... beautiful! Shows she hasn't lost her touch even in these years she has had NANA on hiatus.

Those images are beautiful! They're a welcoming sight after years of Mrs. Yazawa-san being obscure for ages.

Seriously. I'm sure there will be some backlash or cultural stigma if she were to go from writer and artist to just writer, but she should do it anyway. If you can't draw regularly, but still have stories to tell, for the love of god just tell the story.

Honestly I really just want to know what happens at the end only. It's been like 5 years since i last read this series and still remember where and how it left off because of how strong the chapters before her going on hiatus was.
Man... Nana, Hunter x Hunter, and Berserk are the only 3 manga I want to know the end of before I have kids or become too busy with job and such.

Y'know it's funny that I was watching 'Kamikaze Girls' last night and after coming across Nana the film I wake up to this column.
Ai Yazawa's work is beautiful. I may have to one day take a look at Nana.
Tried to get the films for the collection but the people that do the ordering are so goddamn slow that now there are barely any copies left anymore.
I may start reading it as well.

@Chrno2
Are you trying to get the live action version of Nana or the animated version?
There are two live action movies and 47 episodes of anime. All were issued by Viz at one point but that was years ago.

Actually I was trying to get the animated version for our collection so that we could have it on hand for students. This would have allowed me access to it as well. The that last place that had copies was TRSI which had all 4 vols. Now when you do a search there's always one vol missing. If the person had ordered the items from my list in a timely manner we would have had then all. Plus, I had requested a few vols of the manga. I wanted to have a the show as a tie in.
I really wish I had more control over the ordering of these things. But I don't. I can only control how I want to spend the funds given to me.
As for the live action version I wanted to view that for myself. If I can find it on Netflix or Hulu or a legal site that streams Asian movies like Viki that would be a great plus as well.

It's almost chilling to see both Nanas with such long hair. I want to know what happens, but I want Yazawa-sensei not to overwork herself, either. For the moment, I'll try to support her/NANA by seeing if I can get a copy of this calendar/this issue of Cookie.
