To be honest, I didn't recognize none of them as guys until it rewind.
Literally, I thought they were going to go through some cosmetics make up transformation(though this is my intial reaction without fully reading the article) |

I'm actually impressed from seeing the male student undergoing this swift-but-beautiful transformation into a female.

Woah, I did not expect that. The video is really nicely made too, especially the rewind effects. The song is trippy too.

I could tell right off the bat they were all guys. They were also still fairly effeminate even when the makeup was all taken off.

So like, is Shiseido trying to promote traps? It'd be amusing if we saw more crossdressing guys trying to prank pervs on subways or something.
Also, something to notice is that the person in the hallway is holding one of those images that changes in how you perceive it depending on if you see it right-side up or upside-down. I also like how the next page in the book has a classical-looking rewind button symbol. |

i admit i was difficult to tell from the video (i think it would be easier in person)
first and last one was pretty obvious. but this is only possible with Asian guys now a day they are about the same size and weight as the girls probably just need a wig.. no fake breasts required |

Can we please move past using this terminology? It's from like, ten years ago, and also actually pretty fricking rude and unnecessary. |

Its not rude at all, and people will keep using it for crossdressers(which do not have be trangender by defintion) as long as its usefull. |

If we are going with Japanese terminology, it would be Otokonoko when referring to a relatively young male dressing up passably as a female.

I am stepping in to remind people to stay on topic and be respectful, please. This is a debate that has occurred before, so mods will keep an eye on the thread to make certain it doesn't derail.

I already noticed something amiss when the first female teacher looked a bit like a guy. Plus, it's no longer uncommon for East Asians try to troll by pretending female:
Popular cosplayer’s school photos reveal amazing transformative powers of cosplay “Retweet if you thought I was a girl”: This beautiful young man, in his own words Internet falls in love with Chinese cosplaying beauty, disappointed to hear she’s a guy Cute and talented Taiwanese singer is actually a boy, Netizens no longer find this shocking “Wait, you’re a dude? Meh, marry me anyway.” And some people make a point that makeup could make all the difference! Is that cute girl’s profile pic really anything like her ‘real’ face? So beware, folks! |
