Oh, that's pretty neat. I was a bit concerned that they wouldn't have the Dissidia gameplay, as a different company is making it, but they do.
So arcades in Japan are still strong enough for them to push out titles like these, and they're big enough that you can have multiple machines on location? I heard the arcade scene is shrinking in Japan, but I guess it's not in the state as it is in America.

A lot of the gameplay mechanics have changed though. Most notably, the Assist/EX/Chase system is gone, Summons physically enter the battlefield, matches are timed, only 1 HP attack per character, Dashing depletes a meter and there seems to be no aerial combat.
Still looking forward to a possible PS4 release.

But it didn't turn into a normal, generic 3-D fighting game, which was what I had feared. But you're right--now that you pointed it out, a lot of stuff is missing. I like seeing everyone flying around in the sky. Shame that was taken away.

They are big enough if the machines are popular. 6 machines to have a full match locally is a huge amount of space for some of them though so it is going to need to draw a constant crowd to be worth it. I kinda wonder if they will allow online play with other arcades. The gundam pod game does because it just isn't feasible to put that make pods in one arcade.
Gundam EXVS (FB and MB) is 2v2 and pretty much constantly had a line at the numerous arcades I tried out. Larger ones even have 8-12 of them.

That's pretty neat. It reminds me of the Round 1 arcade about 50 miles from where I live that got two import copies of Pokkén Tournament, and they have those velvet ropes for lines, which I'm sure exist at certain times (but weren't there when I visited).
Most arcades, I presume, are quite small, so it was something was wondering about. Though the other thing I was wondering was the price. Unless each cabinet comes with two screens and two sets of controls, the arcade version of Dissidia won't be very appealing unless there are two or more, and it's going to be a lot harder to make back the price of two arcade cabinets of a brand-new game than just one.
