On a recent podcast Zach mentioned his annoyance that Monster hadn't been released with its dub in the USA.
He may or may not be aware that it had a Region 4 release by Siren Visual Entertainment in Australia a while back. It's due to be re-released soon as a box set: http://www.sirenvisual.com.au/Product/528.php This includes both the original Japanese track and the English dub. Individual volumes are available if anyone's in a hurry. Of course, it's coded as region 4, so you need a multiregion player, but if you import from Japan you probably have one of these already; in Australia it's actually hard to get a DVD player that isn't multi-region. Siren have something of a history of releasing titles that are released nowhere else. For example, they also have Dennou Coil and Chihayafuru in their catalogue. |
