my only hope left for the season is Monster Musume on CR.... Don't let me down please! Especially with how much they're covering MM.

Good for Funimation. Lots of titles, lots of variety.

Ranpo Kitan has piqued my interest the most. I feel like it'll turn out completely mediocre, but...well, I'll stick with it.

Well, they have 3 of the ones I wanted to check out, Gansta, Snow White with the Red Hair, and Aquarion Logos and Crunchyroll has DurararaX2 Ten.

That only leaves To Love Ru: Darkness 2nd and Monster Musume.

Man, Funi are simulcasting more and more new shows every season. If there was ever a time to stop watching simulcasts and wait for blu-rays with encodes that don't suck and subtitles that aren't ESL-level, it's now. Seriously, F**k you, Funi. Leave the simulcasts to CR so that people don't have to sit through so much of your lazy garbage.

Funimation Simulcast subs are fine. I know they had big problems with Nourin and maybe 1 or 2 other shows during that season, but I didn't notice any glaring issues with the 9 shows I was watching this season from Funimation. Winter season was perfectly fine as well.

Nice selection, it's getting more tempting to switch to Funi from Crunchyroll

Does this mean that Funimation got Junjo Romantica 3 instead of RightStuf?

one of their translators certainly has trouble with proper English. this person was attached to Seraph this season, and it was probably the same person who goofed with No-rin before being replaced halfway through. The others are fine though

While Nourin is one of the worst jobs Funi has done, the quality of their encodes and the grammar used in their subs is often significantly worse than CR's general standard. The amount of artifacting in many of their encodes is their biggest problem, with busier scenes being so pixelated it becomes impossible to make out fine details. For a recent example, check episode 1 of Show by Rock.

When it comes to grammar, their use of English is often incoherent and frequently in dire need of basic editing. Take a look at some examples from Owari no Seraph in this link: http://www.crymore.net/2015/05/02/subtitle-comparison-derpdesuyo-vs-funimation-vs-vivid-owari-no-seraph-episode-04/

Even if their shows are watchable, the fact that the shows would look and read better if they had been licensed by Crunchyroll is lose/lose for all simulcast viewers.

Monster Musume (whoever gets it)
Bikini Warriors
Prison School
Shimoseka

Probably:
Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan

Hetalia, huh. If that gets dubbed, they're gonna have to find a new voice actor for England since Scott Freeman retired.

Really just awful to see that Funimation is still going ahead with its streaming service. I was hoping it would fail.

Nice, was already planning on watching 9 of those shows, and I'm going to keep watching 3 from the spring. Always nice to know I'm still getting my moneys worth for the all access pass

lol, ditto. Like others have noted, the quality of their encodes is really just awful. As is the design of their entire website. It's better than it once was, but really, compared to CR they are pretty terrible. Sad

Anyway, I'll still be following:
Ranpo Kitan
Overlord
Gangsta
Shimoneta

And maybe prison school depending on what I hear about it. I'm not huge on S&M comedy generally, though.
