...and they probably won't because of what it's based off of.

I don't think the fact that the original game was an eroge would deter North American distributors. Kanon (2006), fate/stay night, and School Days (among others) have been released over here and their source materials were eroges. And it's not like selling BL titles in North America is a big no-no.
I'm still disappointed that Hanayamata hasn't been licensed here yet. I really enjoyed watching it last summer.

@ Knight-Hart,
I'm not aware of Madman ever paying for their own dub. The Australian market isn't large enough on its own to support the cost of dubbing.

Remember that Sentai Filmworks not only licensed Diabolik Lovers, but they dubbed it too.

I would love it if Hanayamata were to be picked up in the U.S.; the yuri theme and moments of comedy has my interest for the show.
Then again, since yuri-themed anime shows have a history of not performing well in the U.S., the chance of that occurring seems virtually non-exist, sadly.

If it doesn't get a license in the US, it will be the only one of that bunch I will import.

Wolf Girl & Black Prince, don't mind if I do. That one is a guilty pleasure for me.
