Yeah, I bought a PS3 waiting for this game.
They dodged me entirely.

It may not be a PS3 game anymore, but it still looks like one.

2016 release, 11 years of waiting for a PS3 launch title. This should be part 5 or 6 now.

Just one more year for The Last Guardian...!
Gameplay is so reminiscent of Ico. Love it.

I'll add this to my "Games to Encourage Me To Buy the PS4" list, which sit next to inFamous and Battlefront.

FINALLY!

Me too. This was the game which would have made me buy a PS3. Sadly for that console, The Last Guardian was never released when it was the in-thing. Looks like I'll be skipping a generation when the game, does in fact, finally come out. Once it's actually on store shelves I'll actually believe it the release date. Oh what the hell - I'm still excited! lol

If the creative team can recapture the moments experiences in ICO and Wanda to Kyozō (released in the West as Shadow of the Colossus), then we are in for a ride.

I absolutely loved and adored ICO and SoC. Looks like I'm getting PS4 sometime soon.

Team Ico's games were never trendsetters in the graphical department.

Doubtful. Team ICO is small, and likely much of the prolonged period was due to keeping PS4 under wraps working with non-final hardware. Plus Studio Japan went through some restructuring.
Yoshida revealed that the PS3 couldn't handle the game, not at anything more than 15 frames per second anyway.
