The PlayStation E3 press conference confirmed on Tuesday that Fumito Ueda and SCE Japan Studio's The Last Guardian is coming next year. Shūhei Yoshida presented in-game footage from the PlayStation 4:
Since Sony first revealed the game in 2009, the game has undergone numerous delays in production. Game director Fumito Ueda announced his departure as a full-time Sony employee in December 2011, though later confirmed that the game was still under his creative supervision in 2013. Scott Rohde, the PlayStation software product development head for Sony Worldwide Studios America confirmed last June that the game had not been cancelled. Sony Worldwide Studios president Shūhei Yoshida stated in the same month that they (Sony) "really don't want to release piecemeal information until we can say this is The Last Guardian - so we ask you to wait."
The U.K. newspaper The Guardian published an article last Tuesday where it stated that it "[has] it on good authority" that Sony will display The Last Guardian game at this year's E3 trade fair.
