I love titles with crimes against public morality. I don't really know what that is but it sounds like something right up my alley.

Do they mean titles that are crimes against public morality? That makes mores sense.

China just does this out of spite. I mean you don't see them cracking down on all the piracy there. It's one of the few places that you can sell bootlegged Iphones, Xboxs, and pretty much anything under the sun with to anyone openly, unless of course it's a Chinese company then you better watch out.
All this does is to insure that outside businesses don't get china's money.

psssst.... they're still fapping on it.

Though, Tokyo Ravens? Nowhere in the article does it mention banning crappy anime.

I refuse to believe anyone in the last decade has even thought about Those Who Hunt Elves.

Maybe I can understadn some animes like corpesparty because it has a lot fo violence and gore, but SAO? Maybe in goverment the anime has haters.

I know, right? Sometimes it feels as though we're not getting enough gory anime nowadays.

I would love to see more gore in anime. How about we replace fanservice with gore? I wouldn't object. Razz

I'm pretty sure this is just China's way of recommending some good anime to its citizens. Because nobody would pay attention to the list if they said "hey, these are some good anime series we liked, give them a look!"

So Cross Ange is fine, but Claymore isn't?! In what universe does THAT make sense. It's now confirmed: watching and reading Claymore is A VICTORY FOR DEMOCRACY!

Also, why is Tokyo Ghoul A banned, but not the first series? Weird

For those who are wondering, there are some glaring omissions which probably reflect the censors' inability to read everything that's out on the market as well as underfunding.

The list is by no means final since they can add on as many titles as they like until they're satisfied. Cross Ange and others might well make the list once the censors go beyond material released in the past 2 years.

I'm curious about why the second season of certain shows are banned, but not the first season. Girls Bravo season 2, Date a Live 2, and Samurai Bride are on the list, but the first season aren't. Is the idea to irritate viewers by only allowing them to watch half of a show? I don't recall anything in those second seasons that would be significantly more objectionable than the first season, so it is curious.

In this case I think it's because of the corrupt government present in the series.

I do have to wonder, though, why in the hell would they decide Inferno Cop is bannable.

Sakura Diaries? It's 2015, who the hell is watching Sakura Diaries?

Those Who Hunt Elves too. Those two are really out of leftfield. TWHE doesn't even show boobs despite being about elf stripping.
