And here I thought it was going to be Knuckles when they announced a "red haired character will join." Oh how I'm disappointed.

I wanted to enjoy the original game a lot more than I did. I don't need my fighters to be terribly deep, but DBFC was just a bit too simplistic. That said, I'll still give the sequel (upgrade?) a try when it becomes available for consoles.

I don't suppose Chane can be a playable character? She doesn't even need a seiyuu

Why bother? By the time they localize it, the next version will be out again. It is a fighting game anyway. Just import it and play it before the thing is obsolete.

French Bread wouldn't know anything about balance, sadly. Looking at you, UNiB.
So this is going to be yet another milking franchise. I thought only Arc System Works was doing that... with the exception that it actually works for them: stupid sexy GGXrd. (And they balanced EVERYTHING by making damage equal for everyone)

Good news. The game really did need more fighters. Don't leave Fear out this time, Dengeki Bunko!

Without playable Kino/assist Shizu, there is sadly no point...

You are way late to the party, Capcom has been milking Street Fighter ever since the Champion Edition and will continue to do so even after they go bankrupt.
As for having Fear or Kino, I suspect we will only see characters from non finished franchises (as in, having a new light novel in the works), but I will gladly accept I was wrong if sega/bunko do otherwise.

I'm curious to why arcade games these days wait to make a whole new version for adding characters. Balancing and graphical updates I can see but the Gundam Extreme VS series and now Tekken 7 have shown that unit/character additions are not some complex surgery they once were.

I agree, it seems like DLC should be totally doable for this. I really expected it to GET DLC by now and really they could put out like one new character a month or something to keep people excited about it.

Given that Felecia Angelle played Emi in the dub, it would be appropriate to have her play Emi in this should it get localized.
