Absolutely stoked that Black Lagoon is back. It's always worrisome for localization when a series goes on hiatus for such a long time.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Black Lagoon is effectively back on hiatus. One year and counting I think. So a conclusion to this story arc is going to take a while... |

I hope that when this comes out of hiatus and they have more content, we'll see another season of the anime.

This is THE volume where the manga started to 100% loose me as it becomes apparent that Hireo is out of ideas. He knows it too or the series wouldn´t gone on another hiatus soon after returning from one that lasted 3 years. I will give him a chance when he comes back and quickly finished this pointless arc but if the improved OVA version of Roberta´s tale is the last i saw of Balck Lagoon then that is fine too as it featured a natural ending point.
Black Lagoon is a rare case where the anime is (a bit) better then the manga btw. I wonder wonder what Hiroe is doing right now besides drawing hentai and this is his 3rd "dead" series after Hisuikyou Kitan and Shook Up! (both suck). Oh well and the ride was fun while it lasted. |

Actually I preferred the manga version to the conclusion to the Roberta's Arc and hated the Anime version with her a cripple and the rape of a young Revy.
But it's sad after the long hiatus Hiroe gives us volume 10 and then goes on another long hiatus with not even 1 new chapter to even start volume 11. |

I'd really, really like that. But, if it never comes to pass, at least the arc-based nature of the story means that the anime stopped without leaving things hanging. |

I really hope Hiroe gets around to writing more soon so there could be another season of the anime. I'd even settle for another OVA series like Roberta's Blood Trail as long as we get more Black Lagoon.

I wouldn't count on more of the Anime even a OVA since Roberta's Blood Trail was 5 episodes and covered 4 volumes of the manga.
And their hasn't been any new chapters after volume 10 for over a year now. |

How much does the anime cover of the manga?

^ Pretty much volumes 1 - 9, counting the Roberta's Blood Trail OAV. A few details get changed, but it's fairly faithful.

The anime stops @ Vol 9, Chap 76 to be exact. The publication schedule fell off a cliff soon after that.

The manga is on break for almost 1.5 years. Hard to say when it'll return, which is a shame since the lack of content is the only thing holding up another season or OVA.

I don't remember when this was screencapped, but I wouldn't hold any high hopes on swift continuation as it does seem like Hiroe sensei is out of ideas. Tbh there are many good Black Lagoon fanfics out there, and maybe he should try reading them in Japanese to gain more ideas and update the manga quick. |
