Is this why the novel has been on hold forever?
Feel sorry for Hanpen. His/her drawings are very cute, and I hope I can see more of them as soon as he/she recovers.

I hope the illustrator gets well soon. I enjoyed the anime adaptation for the most part (nice OST, battles were nice; character interaction were clichéd, but nothing out of the norm, sadly).

i've always loved Yuuji's work from Alcot's games. while it's a shame about Sakura's health, overall i think the switch is for the better. that sample art is a good example why

that's terrible. His drawings were really cute to see. I hope he gets better soon.
The new illustrator ain't bad though. It's a bit more mystical than cute to me.

Oh, I just assumed the delay in the LNs was due to the author. I liked the original art and am sad to hear that the illustrator was replaced for health reasons, but I'm glad that they will be able to release some new volumes.

Sad to know this but the new artist seems very good to me.What is it with Japanese artists and their health? I think they should take it easy on themselves otherwise we'll see this happening a lot more.

I'm with you on that, but looking at similar cases, the odds are quite low.

Good luck with the ex-illustrator's future work. This summer, hopefully, Funi will release the dub.

It's just illustrations; can't be that many.

Honestly if this was a manga or anime I would care, but a light novel has a handful of pictures per volume and they tend to be quite different once adapted into anime or manga, so its not a big deal.
I think IS had a change in Illustrator were it was noticeable, but even that passed.
