So, was this about the movie? Because at the end of the column it says that the review is based on episodes 1-5. Movies don't have episodes...?

I think/assume he means he's comparing the movie voices to the voices from the first 5 episodes of the TV series. If that's true though then I'm not sure if that's entirely fair since it usually takes a few episodes for a VA to settle into their role. An actor in the first episode is likely going to sound much different from how they sound in the last episode.

I believe this was a mistake, the "based one episodes..." was from the template and Ryan just forgot to remove it.

Trust me, we based it on the movie. I think he forgot to remove the bit about it being based on episodes 1 - 5. Ryan did watch Nadesico dubbed (as did I) but his review was based on the movie only.
In other news, we're getting married.

I know it's not much, but:
Congratulations! He's a great guy, what little time I've spent talking to him, at least. I suppose you already knew that. :)
When's the wedding?

Hoorah. I got my EoE, and now I got my Nadesico: the Motion Picture. Now, I just need to reaquire the Nadesico series...stupid rent.
Congratulations to Ryan and Anne on their engagement, that's always a blessed occasion. Hope you have many happy years ahead of you.

Thanks all! We don't know yet when we're getting married yet. I want to get him to do a Hale Noche Guu wedding, but he's not interested.

I am awed by that Idea, but understand while he would be apprehensive about that. Clive is not the best person to be compared to.
Besides, where would you get Pokute from?

My grandma's small, she can be a Pokute. No we were thinking more of Guu and Hale getting married. (A scary idea I know, but I have Guu hair. Besides, Guu rules.)

This is Ryan.
I just want to confirm: oops! Yes, that was from the previous column. Thanks to Tempest (or whoever did it) for editing it out.
And yes, Anne and I just happy as clams. We haven't planned the wedding yet, because the direction of my career is currently a bit up in the air. If I could do Dub Track for a living, we could get married tomorrow.
(Don't worry, Tempest, I still prefer my amateur status.)

I'd wish you congratulations, but my current avtar would make it seem like a bad pun.
So, good luck.

There is one small typo in the review that was a bit confusing for me at first. The author wrote that Ruri was three years old instead of three years older. I haven't seen the movie yet so i started imagining Ruri Rugrats-style

Which reminds me... Will you be doing another review for December, since you've been falling a bit behind your regular monthly schedule?

Yes he will. It's likely right now he'll be doing Last Exile, but the final decision is up to my fiancee.
And I would love to see Nandesico Rugrats.
