Who knows? Maybe a later down the line we'll get a third season with an original story, using Tokyo Ghoul:re's settings as its basis.

I'm looking forward to seeing Arima's story because i enjoyed the manga but i really don't wanna see more in the Tokyo Ghoul franchise unless another studio picks it up. And I really don't wanna see spoiler[ Re: without Hide... at least he's ambiguously alive in the manga]

Well i don´t care as the OG web-manga was sadly just "meh" (the anime too of course).
My Mu review to elaborate: The definition of pointless 5/10 The 2 main series are of high quality and i reviewed both but this side-prequel is sadly completely unneeded. The art is surprisingly a mess too and i have no idea why THIS story needed to be told or what it brought to the table. Read it once if you must but i would put money on the table that i won´t remember anything i read in a month. The reason for the lack of quality of this practical done-in-one tale is a big riddle to me as the other oneshots "Joker" and the original manga pilot are must reads. Sui´s similar web-manga "The Penisman" is a quality act too. |
