Eh...Gabumon looks fine here imo but might have to take awhile to get used to Yamato.

How the characters look compared to how other digimon series characters looked, this one seems a little more mature and less cartoony. Maybe this is just a way of getting fans of the original series to watch it. I know I am.
Also I wonder if the characters from Adventures 2 will make an appearance in this series or is it just going to be the original characters. Either way, I hope it focuses more on the original characters. |

Went into this wondering how Gabumon would look...he surpisingly looks very much the same compared to agumon who has something of an alien head thing going on.

Not really a fan of these designs. The color pallette is washed out and the faces have so little detail. Compared to the designs from the older anime, everything seems really lifeless and frankly, artistically lazy. It makes me worry about the budget/attention to detail that will be put into the show.

Really excited for this. All the childhood nostalgia is rushing back to me ^ ^
Even though I do agree the new visuals seem to leave something to desire, there may be a reason for that... We'll have to see how works with the plot when it comes out... |

Have they announced different voice actors for Yamato/other characters? I agree it won't feel right with a cast change... |

The same thing could be said for Digimon dub fans. Joshua Seth has indicated that he would be willing to reprise his role as Tai. |

I just hope we finally get Warp Digivolutions (shinkAAAS!) for the rest of the gang and not just tai and mat. Like Palmon turning into Rosemon, Tentimon into HerculesKabuterimon, Gomamon to Vikemon and Biyomon to Hououmon. The movie doesn't count.

It's amazing that someone who comments on an anime-manga news site doesn't get the difference between character design and quality of animation... If you had bothered to look up the previous works this particular character designer was involved in rather than making stupid comments based solely on your dislike of change, then you might have that said productions were hardly "lifeless" or devoid of "attention to detail". |

I know, but I still wanted to see it in an actual show. The PSP game never came out in NA so I bet most fans in NA don't know the game even exists. |
