When trying to add staff for Dirty Pair Flash I only get options for English, French, or Spanish....no Japanese.

aha... you've hit upon one of the little quirks of the Encyclopedia. You see, Dirty Pair Flash is actually made of 3 OAVs series. And all of them seem to have had significantly different Japanese staff. BUT... all of them had the same voice actors. And we think they all pretty much had the same English staff.
So from the point of view of adding Japanese staff, they are really 3 different series and the staff should be added to the appropriate "sub-series"

The problem with this assumption is that there are a lot of minor characters in the series that don't hold over..
Some of the minor characters are present throughout the series.. but the "Transvestite" (for example) is only in DPF 2 episode 1. Likewise, there are some other characters who simply *don't* deserve to be on the front DPF page, yet should probably be listed somewhere.
just a thought.

hmmm... but don't you think that spliting up the cast among DPF and DPF 1/2/3 would be a little chaotic? The way I see it, it would be better to have all the cast in DPF (even if that means wriring a few precisions for minor characters) and all the staff in DPF 1/2/3 (even if that means repeating a few staff in each)
But that is only given my very limited understanding of how DPF credits work

Ppphht!
Under "Dirty Pair Flash 2" I get no option for Staff Member, so I chose "Other", which brings up a list of "other" options. One of those was "Staff" so I clicked it, only to get the following:
This anime is a special case: the staff can't be added. Instead, it should be added in one of the related anime.
So I went back to just "Dirty Pair Flash", where it does allow Staff, but as before my only options are English, French, or Spanish (Aye Carumba!).

LOL!
Quite a conundrum, heh? I'd forgotten about it, but I had removed the ability to add staff to DPF2 about a week ago due to a snafu which resulted in loosing the tasks of a bunch of staff (who are now set as "unknown"). I wanted to let Cookie repair this (since he's the one in charge of figuring out DPF) before setting this editable again, but I guess I'll just change that right now in case I forget about it again.
And you really need to add staff for that anime? The credit list seems darn complete to me. Well, except for those "unkown" staff. *sigh* I bet the director's in them

Well, if Cookie's the DPF guru he's more than welcome to deal with it!
And yes, it is the director I was trying to add...It's kinda funny that we have all the inbetweeners credited without the director.

"Thou Shalt Not Touch DPF2"
much like robert woodhead's quest to release (or never release, as some see it) UY, i, too, shall enter (or never enter) all the DPF data in the encyclopedia.
they're on the same scale, in terms of sheer amount of work involved to finish, i think. :p
