Those are some adorable character designs. I'd like to see some figures!

This might have a good chance to sell as it caters to Otaku of both genders. I hope this is great as Sanrio is taking a huge risk catering to Otaku and especially both genders at once.

Should we technically call this a combo of shounen and shoujo?

It's technically a Seinen Anime.

It's unfortunate that they replaced guys who really could have used the work and the publicity this might have given them for guys who aren't exactly hurting for work. No matter how much I like the guys that replaced them, it's still a bit disappointing.

The character designs and Mamoru Miyano is enough for me to try this out if it's streamed in the US.

I'm starting to notice a trend of shows that are now getting into mystical creatures as the characters. I will admit the designs are attractive.

All in all, hopefully the dudes are only there to be entertaining characters or worst case scenario fujoshi service. So long as they keep romance and typical Shoujo trappings where everyone needs a bishie out of it, this should be enjoyable.
