Some extra facts about me I'm going to be an uncle of another baby in just 4-6 months. I've never been to any of my families weddings but I will this september because my older sister is getting married. I spend more time in Colorado Springs then what I do at my own house. I may soon move to either Hawaii, California, or Japan (my mom is the one who wants to live in Japan but I just want to visit). Seeings how my moms in the Air Force I don' really have a say in the matter about moving.

future jobs that I would like Architect, Veterinarian (sorry if I mispelled that), Chef, or a programmer.

books Trudi Canavans Black Magicians Trilogy The Magicians Guild, The Novice, And the High Lord (I highly recommend all three).

I think you're the only other WoW player I've seen in this thread, which I'm a little surprised about.
Kelley Armstrong writes awesome books doesn't she? I read her last one in a day. I switched from Laurell K. Hamilton to her, when I got tired of Hamilton's lack of plot after about Blue Moon or so.

Surprised Wow, I just finished reading Armstrong's newest, Exit Strategy. I've read all of her stuff except No Humans Involved (can't afford a hardcover right now). And props to you for actually reading The Neverending Story. Most people remember the movies but never realized they (1 & 2) were based on a book and those that did know have never read it.

As another person who's switched from LKH I have to agree Kelley Armstrong is great. My favorites of hers are Bitten, Stolen, and Exit Strategy. I used to love LKH; the deterioration of the Anita Blake franchise kills me. Crying or Very sad

Oh, I haven't read Exit Strategy yet. Guess I'll have to give that one a try. I know it's not fantasy, which was why I was putting it off, but if it's as good as Bitten/Stolen, then I'll see if I can pick it up somewhere.

I hung on to the hopes that LKH would turn it around, but gave up after Cerulean Sins.

I also read Charlaine Harris, Patricia Briggs, and Kim Harrison, but Kelley Armstrong is my favorite of the genre.

I've kept reading LKH in a vain hope that things will turn around. You're not missing anything but more bad porn. Well, The Harlequin tries to tone down on the porn but that just leaves bad for the rest of the novel. IMO the franchise died with Narcissus in Chains. I've read Kim Harrison, too. Her newest is another hardcover I can't afford. Crying or Very sad

I've heard of Harris but haven't read any of her work because I refuse to buy anything in the romance section of the bookstore (my way of rebelling against my mother's and grandmother's favorite genre).

I've not heard of Patricia Briggs before. I'll have to look her up the next time I go to the bookstore.

Since you like Armstrong, I think you'll like Exit Strategy, though it is very different from the Women of the Otherworld books. It's basically a murder mystery but instead of cops or a private eye trying to solve the case, it's hit-men. Plus it's paperback so it's not too hard on the wallet if you don't like it.

unsinkmbrown and kyokun703 I know how you feel about LKH. I love the Anita Blake novels but the recent few have been basically orgies. When they started the whole mother of darkness bit I figured they'd run with that and it would be good. Then 2-3 books went by with no mention of her and that just turned me off. If you haven't tried her Meredith Gentry novels they're even more sex laden but the sex seems to be more in tune with the plot and fit there story wise better. The ones in Anita Blake seem to stand out of place a lot. If you wanna try similar novels the Kim Harrison books are a good shot. All the supernatural but 1/10 of the sex. For a male lead and perspective I highly recommend the Jim Butcher "Harry Dresden" novels. They approach things a bit differently but very entertaining.

edit--- BTW FuniRepBlue I find it funi (haha pun...yea real lame I know) that you're dressed up at super girl/woman. Since you've got a blue top on and your name is FuniRepBlue......yea ok that's not funny at I'm just sad and not funny. Crying or Very sad

I also guess since I play Rappelz (free MMO from Gpotato.com) I'm not as cool as you monthly fee paying WoW players. Razz

2nd edit--- Added more stuff to my list including a list of my favorite guns since I've seen one or two people add theirs.

Well, jeez, I must've skipped a lot of info while reading. Embarassed Sorry all you WoW players. And Nagisa, I do prefer playing Horde (Forsaken), but all my friends decided to play Alliance, so I was forced to do the same if I want to socialize. I have a night elf hunter and a draenai shaman (and an undead mage for when I'm sick of Allies).
