Well, it certainly looks and sounds like a Shunji Iwai movie. I just hope the Iwai who shows up to direct this is the one who can tell a coherent story with believable and sympathetic characters; not his arthouse-darling evil twin.
Rambling as it is, I do like the original "Hana and Alice," so I'm looking forward to this.

Whoa! Did not see that coming. Iwai often novelizes his own movies, and Otsuichi just put out the first volume of a YA fantasy series.

Wonder why it took over 10 years to have this released.

I want to find the original after reading the summary. It sounds interesting, despite the amnesia schtick. (I guess it sounds like it twists it well...)

Is that CGI or rotoscoping? It looks to smooth to be hand drawn. Anyway it looks great, really interested in checking this out.

Perhaps this show is shaping up to portray a mystery theme of some sort in a high-school setting?

At least the artwork looks a bit better and the animation a bit smoother, from my point of view.

I loved the actual dancing, but not the character outline thing.

It looks like a combination of techniques to me, but the movements seem a little stiff.
