 Heh, sorry but I make it a point not to post my real name anywhere online.
Sex: Female. Location: Somewhere in the UK. It ain't gonna get anymore specific than that as I have an online stalker. 
Marital Status: Married, to the most wonderful guy in the world - he has to be, as he puts up with my anime obsession. 
Age: 35 Religion: Hmm, agnostic I'd suppose, though my family is Christian. Education/Job Status: BSc.(Hons) Applied Biology & BSc.(Hons) Biomedical Science. I am a senior Biomedical Scientist by profession. Drink/Smoke: I have been teetotal since I was 20, when I realised that I was gonna fail my degree if I couldn't make it to my lectures without a persistant hangover. I smoke like a trooper though, bad habit. Likes: Anime & manga (obviously), hanging out with my friends, cooking & hosting dinner parties, singing/karaoke, playing poker & mah-jong, trying out new restuarants, playing video games, ancient military history. Dislikes: Prejudice, in all it's forms, be it sexism, racism, homophobia, etc. MMORPG's, primarily because it's destroyed too many of my RL friends' relationships. Dealing with sodding paperwork & red tape at work. The damn cult of celebrity - why are people obsessed with someone who is famous for solely being famous?!? And I hate spiders, they just give me the creeps - I get rid of them by standing on a chair & dropping a telephone book on them. Heh. Favourite anime: Evangelion (with a name like EVA fiend, it an hardly be anything else really), Shoujo Kakumei Utena, Gunbuster, Haibane Renmei, Mai-HiME to name but a few. Favourite Manga: Appleseed, Nausicaa & Battle Angel Alita. Favourite game: Disgaea (the sequel sucks though), Bust-a-Move, Super Puzzle Fighter, Fire Emblem, SimCity 2000 (this game nearly wrecked my first degree), & the Final Fantasy series. Favourite Drink: Coca-cola, pearl tea. Favourite Foods: Noodles, be it ramen, chow mein, ho fun, etc. I love sushi too. Favourite Handgun: Umm, if I had to chose it would be a Walther P99 I suppose. Favourite Sport: To watch? Gymnastics, particulary the men's.  To participate? Recurve target archery.
Favourite Music: I mainly listen to anime OSTs & 80's Cantopop these days but I used to follow the likes of Depeche Mode, Erasure, Blondie, Metallica, Faith no More, etc. Favourite TV: I hate British TV. It's programming consists primarily of reality TV shows like Big Brother & that kind of bollocks. The only series' I watch with any sort of regularity is CSI & it's clones. Fun facts about EVA fiend: Umm, I'm Chinese by descent, but I was born in the UK (first generation). My two eldest sisters are 14 & 12 years older than me, so I have nephews & nieces who are in their late 20's & early 30's - I'm also a great aunt (ick!). I'm a heterosexual female but I love shoujo-ai/yuri - ShizNat rocks my socks!! I'm a closet geek, in that I used to be a hardcore fangirl of Marvel comics, & I used to be a hardcore pen & paper AD&D player too. In my 35 years of life, I've never driven a motorised vehicle, but in the past couple of weeks, I've started to learn how to ride a motorcycle.  That's it I think.

Favorite video game: Mostly Japanese import RPGs in my collection, but any good RPG will do. Favorites include Arc the Lad II, the .hack franchise and Atellier Iris. Favorite non-video game: Munchkin, Carcassonne or Kill Doctor Lucky. Favorite Drink: Coke Classic or brewed ice tea under most circumstances. Melon soda if I'm looking at import drinks. Favorite Foods: Pizza. I am the pickiest eater you will ever know. Italian food is my favorite. Favorite Sport: Anything I'm neither required to play nor watch. Favorite Music: I have eclectic taste. Alrighty....since being one of the first posters for this new welcome thread people have expanded the categories. So, instead of simply adding bits and pieces in random order I'll just repost my info as it's updated. I guess this means since the welcome thread is gone and replaced with this my official greeter duties will now commence here. To those who posted here but never did in the other welcome thread welcome to ANN (I'm sure that's very belated but better late then never). Second one since this original post actually. Age: Now I'm 27 and feel like I'm 47. Ethnicity: About 60% Irish and 40% Scottish. It also seems someone in my family got into the Navajo wood pile it seems. Blood Type: I am O+ and I donate at least once a year, usually twice. Dislikes: DRIVING!!!! (believe it or not, I don't have a driver's liscence!  ) Rap/hip-hop, country music, ignorance, Mindless sexual content in any form of entertainment, racism or any other kind of hate crime, people who act like jerks to me or other people, people in a grouchy mood, arrogance or people who are really snooty, being around people when they smoke

I've created lots of my own manga storylines, and when I can either learn how to draw anime/manga or find someone who can to do it for me, I plan on trying to get them published by Shonen Jump. And, as mentioned above, I have no driver's license, (never really wanted one anyways) and may not for a very long time. |

Yes, he is a boy. Sorry about your cat.. One of my inside cats, Justin, passed away a few months ago. He lived only about 6 years, but he was a rather big cat so that probably wasn't too good for his health. (I've also had a few outside cats die or run away. I'd keep all my cats inside to try and keep that from happening if my parents would let me.) And I always give my kitties love and hugs
I have scoliosis too, so I guess that can be a fun fact about me since I couldn't think of any before. Not so sure that's fun though. Um.. Anyway, I'm still dying to have my Terranigma manga!... I also play strategy game like Warcraft, Starcraft, C&C too and arcade stuffs like, MvC, MvC2, King of Fighters, arcade shooting games, but usually, I'm more into RPG and Visual Novels (even eroge as long as the story is good) like, Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, CLANNAD, AIR, Planetarian, Shuffle!, Narcissus, Kurenai Namida, etc. etc. I like games with stories to be more precise. Favorite Sport: Swimming. Favorite Music: My all time favorite Filipino band would be the infamous Eraserheads, but these days, I rarely listen to other musics beside J-POP or J-ROCK... I find their voices full of radiance and the lyrics of their songs, very good. My favorite would be a battle between Lia, Riya, CooRie and KOTOKO... I just can't choose between Lia with her soothing otonappoi koe (her voice is like a mild river flowing gently through time)... erm... Riya, CooRie and KOTOKO with their lively cute voice, and they can also sing soothing songs. As for Riya, I like her Chiisana Te no Hira and Kage Futatsu from CLANNAD, from CooRie her Akatsuki no Saku Uta from Da Capo 2nd Season, and KOTOKO's Chi ni Kaeru ~on the Earth~ Favorite Quotes: -Parvati IV/Pai from 3x3 Eyes "Time is a Luxary which you do not have." -Hazart Haan from 3x3 Eyes "You can't accomplish anything without the help of others." -Fujii Yakumo from 3x3 Eyes "Great powers needs great responsibility." Aw, now this is the forum I know and love. Let's forget about all those tired old peevish arguments and enjoy the hug fest. And, frankly, I'm astounded that everyone is so good-looking. Others include Shadow of the Colossus, Half-Life 2, Katamari Damacy, Incredible Crisis and any of the Wario games (especially the new one for Wii! It's sooo fun and it reminds me of Mind Game [<---agh! There it is! *ducks to avoid rotted fruit*] in a weird way). I loved everything about the country--the green hillsides, the rainbows, the clean air, the ancient ruins, the hiking, everything. But it wasn't really the greatest place to be for an anime fan (which I was much more back then than now). Let's see... what else? I once broke my pinky finger when I was a kid by running in the house and falling down onto it. To avoid punishment ("No running in the house!"), I told my parents I broke it while I was practicing the piano... and they believed me! Hahahahaha! The most brilliant lie of my life, and I was a wee 8-year-old. I guess now would be a good time to mention that I've played the violin and piano since I was 7 years old. Mmm mmm. Woman after my own heart. Aside from the rather typical sin of sloth, I definitely fall victim to gluttony. I don't eat a lot, I only eat once a day, but I love to eat good food. It's funny... I'm going after my degree in physics... and the more I think about it, the more I think I'd love to go into some kind of food handling job. I probably won't, just because the really great jobs are so darn exclusive, but it's really tempting despite that. Teriyaki, Sushi (fresh), and Thai are some of my biggest vices, of which Thai pineapple curry is my favorite. The hotter the better
I'll probably get to making mine in a few days, or whenever I can get a picture. It's too lame to not post a picture if you ask me, so I'll just wait until I can. I can understand the urge to protect personal information, but I feel no shame or hesitation to share out information that I would share freely with any person I met face to face (much less information I couldn't keep from being shared even if I wanted to, such as what I look like). Kinda funny you mentioned that... just finished a physics degree myself, and of the people from all the different degrees I've talked to, the ones doing physics were the ones who were most likely to plan/want to do something after that had absolutely nothing to do with their degree. Weird, huh?
