I don't post here anymore (just troll) but this caught my attention. I probably should contact the Anime Expo people about this, but I thought Zac might know offhand or know who to address this to since he's featured on the panel of experts.
The news release says the estimated value of the tickets would be $1000. Would or is Anime Expo considering selling such "Golden Ticket" packages for the estimated amount for the 2008 Expo? I wouldn't mind partaking in something like that next year. If I'm going to travel 3500 miles for a convention, I might as well go in style!

Aren't these 'Golden Tickets' usually up for bid in AX's Charity Auction? Whoever bought them last year for 2007 must be deliriously happy!

I really hope you meant "lurk" and not "troll"...
You are honestly willing to pay $1000 for them? I'm guessing they're only available from this drawing though, as I don't see anywhere that says you can buy them. |

Durr...I meant lurk but was thinking troll as in "troll/read through the threads REALLY fast." Sorry about that.
Thanks for the heads-up. I'll contact someone at AnimeExpo after the 2007 one is over and see if they offer that option. PG, I know it seems excessive and ridiculous to pay such an amount, but WTH! If I go, I want to be stylin' (ha-ha). |
