Well that ought to be interesting.
I wonder what they'll do to expand the storyline? I know there is the basis of a story already, but really the game is a whole bunch of boss battles strung together after all.
I look forward to seeing what becomes of this.

The weird part is, there is a story to be fleshed out in the very, VERY bare bones backstory the games gives you: who Momo is, why Wander wants to resurrect her, how she died in the first place, and for what, and who or what Dormin is.
But the actual content of the game? It was much more focused on atmosphere and the grand solitude that surrounded you than it was about the boss battles (which were still pretty awesome in and of themselves). Unfortunately, if this movie ever finally gets made, I think it'll focus much more on the combat aspect. :/

Is Guillermo del Toro (exec producer of Mama) somehow linked to this film? I read somewhere the dude (himself a huge anime and video game nerd) greatly admires both SotC and Ico.

That's the problem I see with it with them wanting it to be this action movie when it should like art house type film. Now I think the film has more promise now then years ago when they had Justin Marks attached to write it(writer of the masterpiece The Legend of Chun Li).

All I say is this. If you do a SoTC film, you better do it damn right! It has to be big and menacing. Of course it won't be like doing levels but you get the idea.
