Oh that's awesome. I enjoyed the OVA quite a bit so might actually give this a try.

Wow, that's pretty freaking awesome, I never really thought that was even an option, I'll watch these again on Toonami.

This is pretty great news. Was wondering what was gonna be the show to take over Black Lagoon. I've also never seen any part of Hellsing outside of maybe 1-2 episodes of the tv series so now I'll finally be able to give the show a chance.

Hohoho, and people said it would never happen. I had my doubts because of the long episode lengths, but I guess at 3am they can be a little more flexible. Very cool news and nice to see this getting more exposure.

Toonami is on a roll. Hardly any reruns.

I've sent a tweet to FUNimation (since they announced it via twitter earlier and were retweeting people's comments), asking if it'll be played as 10 hour-long episodes (including commercials), or 20 half-hour long episodes (including commercials). No response yet.

Glad they're sticking this after the earlier shows. The trend has been that they push those shows back... Which I have a problem with since I tend to get tired anywhere between 1:00 and 2:00 and the earlier shows are the ones I'm most interested in.

Toonami has confirmed that it will be in one hour increments. It starts at Black Lagoon's slot, but they are taking out OG Naruto reruns to make room for the extra half hour.

Holy crap, that was one of the reasons I didn't even think it was possible, due to the episode lengths, awesome.

Guess I'll have to open up some space on my DVR before then. . .
Rather excited about this, as I've only ever seen the first couple of OVAs.

I already own the series and have pre-ordered the final two episodes to the series. But still, glad to see that Hellsing Ultimate will be getting some mainstream exposure via Toonami.
