Yeah, the disc formats for these movies is what's really inverted. Patema is what fans are going to want on a nice BD while the kids' movie is just more off an oddity.

Yeah. As someone who's already seen the fansub version, I can confidently say anyone who settles for the DVD instead of a BD are doing themselves a major disservice. The visuals of this movie are simply breathtaking and just need to be viewed in full.

Awesome. Also, especially about time for Welcome to the Space Show since I've been waiting for that since seeing it got dubbed quite a while ago.

Hmmm, Rightstuf has both movies listed for preorder with a Blu-ray version, hopefully that's right because Patema looks like it deserves a BD as well and I intend to preorder it.

For some reason amazon doesn't list a blu ray version of patema inverted, but rightstuf does, and for 26 bucks not too shabby as long as it comes with righteous extras. and does anybody else notice this wicked release month of anime movies? first princess kaguya on oct 17, then a letter to momo oct 21, then this and then wind rises tops it off nov 18.

Fantastic news about Patema! I was afraid it wouldn't get a release here. Although DVD only is a little weird..I don't particularly mind it though. Can't wait to get it!

Maybe just maybe we'll see a home video release of Ocean Waves and Only Yesterday on home video at some point. The only blank spots in my Ghibli collection now outside of the recent films.

And Gkids still hasn't released A Letter to Momo on BD. I've been asking them about it on twitter for ages since last year and they said it was coming but there's still no news about it. Ridiculous imo.

About damn time. Glad to know that we didn't have to wait too long for Patema to get a release. However in the case with Welcome to the Space Show, the only releases listed on Amazon were those by Manga and maybe one Region ?. But I'll be adding this to our list and mine. I really did enjoy WTTSS, but it's looooooong.
