I'd be all over this if I had writing experience that I could actually use on my resume.

I'd like to do this, but not as a professional field, since I don't like journalism at all. I am interested in seeing more reviews for seasonal animes, as well as other stuff from the other positions, assuming ANN fills those positions.

I'd love to have this as an extra job on the side. Earning some money by watching and reviewing anime would be great. My only issue is that I don't have writing experience outside of high school and college courses, so my writing skills aren't very strong.
Would still be a lot of fun to do.

I am interested in this actually so I am considering sending in an application. I've reviewed both anime and manga before for a lot of ongoing series so this has my interest so far.

Note: I will not be applying for the position, but I'd like to offer the opportunity to a couple of friends who fit the requirement (save for the FUNimation subscription, as they dislike this service due to its service issues).
Do the writing submissions require additional references, such as the availability to confirm the works online or can a review of a current streaming series be sufficient with proof of employment to fulfill the experience?
I'm asking because the two friends I'll forward this information currently work for the same company, and they write editorials and reviews regarding online services, though this information isn't made public (the company charges a fee for the info, so submitting their experience may be problematic).
Thanks for reading.

Perhaps this is more obvious than I'm making it out to be, but I have a few questions regarding this:
1. It says "Daily Streaming Anime Reviewer" but the position on the staff openings page is just "Streaming Anime Reviewer." Are these actually the same thing? I feel like it's not because the Daily version is said to be a "new" position, but there aren't any details specifically on that that I can see.
2. The note at the bottom of said opening says there was an overwhelming amount of applicants. Assuming this is the position being hired, were there simply no qualifying previous applicants? (I understand if this question can't be answered directly, but some sort of explanation would be nice)

I have to admit I have almost no idea what this question is trying to ask; can you rephrase it? Apologies.

The position is Daily Streaming Anime Reviewer. I had some issue with the jobs opening page this morning, sorry for any confusion. They are the same position; everyone hired during this period will be a Daily Streaming Anime Reviewer.
I got over 700 applications for the previous position and that was before we dramatically overhauled the entire scope, scale and intent of the project. I wanted to start fresh, and due to popular request give people a chance to polish up and resubmit their writing samples (as the previous listing was up since October 2013) .
The project changed, the parameters changed, so I wanted to start completely fresh while giving everyone who applied before the chance to go for the new jobs. Note that there are already a ton of applicants so the note at the bottom already applies.
EDIT: You know, I just looked at the job listing and all the changes I made to the previous listing are mysteriously gone. Let me see if I can fix this.

Okay! Take a look again, all the changes are back and I think your questions and then some are answered. Sorry about that! We've been having problems with that page all day.

I would LOVE to do something like this but unfortunately, I'm very under qualified. My grammar isn't all that good, I don't have a consistent sleep schedule (It's almost 5 A.M.!), I have no experience writing reviews and I wouldn't be able to handle the pressure.

Is there an idea of when people being considered would start being contacted or is it entirely a case by case basis?
