I guess $50 technically isn't THAT bad, but still.
Ugh. |

The Japanese soundtrack with English subtitles? I don't get it.

Aniplex never disappoint with the shows I want! Cheap price, great extras and naturally it looks fab. Held off watching the show until a home release and this is perfect.

Welp this is less of a ripoff than Valvrave but $200 for a barebones sub-only release is still pretty high. Stay classy guys.

Perhaps the article was supposed to read "Japanese audio with English subtitles." |

On the one hand, I am glad to see more 4-5 episodes releases because that probably means that this is working for them (and I was also worried that their release strategy for Monogatari Second Season might result in poor sales numbers).
On the other hand, I do not like singles because they quickly eat up shelf space. |

Do the math. The price per episode is the SAME. 20 episodes of Nisekoi will cost $200 at TRSI, and 12 episodes of Valvrave First Season will cost $120. And can you really call a release with a chipboard box, poster and cards barebones? |

Ah good point on that first one. As for the second point, yes I would consider the release barebones. Fancy cardboard and postcards aren't worth much in the long run and there aren't any actual on disc extras besides the stuff that's obligatory to have. If it were coming with an artbook or soundtrack CD's I could concede the price a bit more but as it is, the release is a bit of a ripoff. Whether or not you buy it is entirely on you though, I just know I won't |

Damnit. I was hoping they would dub it. I really wanted a dub for this, ah well.

I think releasing singles w/ the possibility of an artbox for the final volume would be absolutely amazing. And what is up with Aniplex releasing stuff so quickly?!! The power of the company with the most 10k+ sellers in Japan? Maybe
![]() And like some people are disappointed by no dub, i'm happy that it's sub only. I can imagine the price tag being $79.98 had this come with a dub. So yeah, money saved ![]() E: Still anything but happy that they're going cheap on their customers with flimsy packaging, so like with KLK/Monogatari I probably won't pick this up. I fail to see how being well known correlates to having a dub. |
