So now the last bastion of yuri magazines are Yuri Hime and mebae, huh. Man, what does it take to get those Japanese anime and manga fans to buy more yuri?

This is...absolutely horrible. I'm so sad right now. I just wish I could read Japanese so I could justify buying yuri manga in Japanese. We need more yuri, not less.

For me, I wish it took more risks and didn't look so lovey-dovey-cutesy all the time. Like the artist 23 and his famous yuri couple are something I'd want to see a full manga of. |

But that is what makes it fun and popular, and what (hopefully) will ensure that those last 2 magazines won't go broke as well... |

I suggest buying a BULK load (or convince a lot of peeps to buy) of Citrus Vol. 1 Seven Seas is going to release this December so they know there are lots of peeps wanting it and can show the higher-ups at Ichijinsha that the West really wants more yuri and are willing to throw money at them (well, in a responsible manner of course).
What kind of risks do you suggest? Like tackling different genres for example? And my Google-fu fails on whoever that artist 23 is referring to! |

Noooo. Kase-san was featured in this magazine and it was my favorite yuri at the moment. Wow. This sucks.

According to the manga-ka's tweet from that built-in Bing translator: https://twitter.com/hiromi_gko/status/494324854477172736 ...it mentions she'll continue it. Didn't mention how though. |
