I've been waiting for 6 years now. I want the exact same thing, with the same character designers (not Unlimited) and cast and everything. I've been saying that Zettai Karen Children is my favorite anime every single time I go on Japanese TV, and they play the theme song and stuff, so I hope that's some kind of promotion! Hahaha |

I think technically The Unlimited contained a bit of continuation of the ZKC story, since we see the three girls as junior high schoolers in the episodes they appear in. But I hear you.  I also want to see the genuine full continuation of the ZKC story, all the way to its conclusion.
This news item makes me wonder though, since if a new character comes in and changes the Children's fate, does that mean spoiler[the whole prediction about Kaoru leading the esper revolution with Hyobu won't come true? I'd like to see that storyline play out, since in ZKC that's been set up as what we can look forward to.] |

I wish they continue Ghost Sweeper Mikami (Shiina's previous manga) to see the awesome final arc animated. The OVA and unlimited is as far we will see from ZKC, making an anime from a series that has ended or is about to end is quite rare (even legendary DBZ kai is only an edit and SMC is as low budget as can be).
Also remember there still is a boycott against Aya Hirano (which voices Kaoru), that is the reason we do not see another season of Lucky Star or Haruhi Suzumiya. |

I loved the Unlimited better than the original show.
With continuation of the core series with them grown up make sense playing off the progress of unlimited since the girls were grown up more in it. Maybe the destiny of whom becomes the Queen changed, with additional of the new character. You never know, they have keep tension up with something twisting fans view of story around. Manga needs play off before anime spin off come off or they'll be making a new ending to series/anime franchise. |

The differences between Unlimited and the original show are mostly just the differences between the first manga arc and the middle school arc. Other then that it was just focused more on Kyousuke and less on comedy. The original show actually covered the entire original arc, which ran about ~150 chapters. The Middle School Arc ran another 227 chapters before finishing up earlier this year. It's a lot of material, which makes the chances of anyone animating it even lower, unfortunately.

That's hardly the reason. While It's true that she's not hot stuff anymore 'cause of that scandal, she was in ZKC Unlimited last year and she's working on Fairy Tail and a few other shows as we speak. I mean, she's still in the business... The reason is that both the publisher and animation companies are pretty mutch done with ZKC. The TV series made the manga sell well for a while but that didn't last, and both the OVA and Unlimited bombed hard. Of course I hope they will animate it again in any format, but... |

Oh, I see. I only watched the anime and haven't read the manga, so spoiler[I didn't know the manga had dealt with the issue of the prediction having been changed. That's kind of too bad. I was looking forward to Kaoru leading a revolution. With Hyobu by her side, of course!]

Kill-chan, when did Unlimited bomb hard? I guess I missed the reviews. Were the Otaku in Japan upset that main characters were missing or worse older?
