Thought so!

Finally! I can't wait to see this.

Great for official reveal via this other magazine, cant wait to see what CP the magazine gets for it.

Please choose different voice actors, and please do not be Toei, please...

It's almost certain that the studio that will be doing it is Brain Base since they did the OVA, and studios don't really change much once they do an OVA.

The cast is up for a bit more of a change, but they will probably stay the same as well.

I figured this would happen as soon as I heard the announcement, but the live action movie certainly caught me off guard! Should be interesting to see how they do Koro-Sensei in live action though!

What do you mean? Studios change when they do the ova, look at Toriko which had one from Ufotable but then the tv series was animated by Toei.

It was only a matter of time. Also, Ayana Taketatsu.

Okay, I wasn't aware of that fact. Thanks for clearing it up for me. I imagine it will stay the same, but I'm not sure. You can count me as one of the people against Toei doing it as well.

Yeah.... me too.

But I think I'm more afraid of what kind of mutant hellspawn it may produce. Shocked
With the exceptions of Horror films and some classic samurai flicks I don't remember seeing very many Japanese live action films that I really enjoyed.

I don't think that this is necessarily the fault of the Japanese film industry being bad, but more that the western film industry is so very good.

A perfect example would be the recently released Edge of Tomorrow based on Hiroshi Sakurazaka's novel All You Need is Kill. I went to the cinema expecting to see a pretty kickass action movie. I got it. What I did not get was the original story, it was almost completely different, down to the character's names.
But I'm glad that HollyWood made it, because it was an enjoyably advanced, action-packed film all the same.

If the Japanese film studios had made it I have no doubt it would have stuck truer to the original text but the effects and the overall effect of the film would, I think, have been massively reduced.

I'm interested to hear other people's thoughts on this hypothesis for Western Vs Eastern cinema (bear in ind I'm no expert, just a curious thinker).

Kinda wished they would change Nagisa's voice though. He needs to sound more boy-like or at least gender neutral. Maybe his voice actor can make a deeper tone? I have no idea.

I may not be as familiar with this series but why do most fans insist on calling it this? I know it is shortening the title, but it just seems so ridiculously unnecessary and unclassy (pun intended) to call it AssClass.

I'd already thought an anime was announced. But I guess it was that OVA, huh.

Nagisa with a male voice would just be unnatural.
