Oh my god its been 11 years. feels like only yesterday, and the 2003 version still feels fresh as a daisy IMO

Well, if Tezuka studios is collaborating, it might be decent. Then again, I'm one of the few that actually enjoyed the 2009 movie, so I'm not one for high standards when it comes to AB.

Ehh western remakes always fill me with dread, especially if they're trying to cash in on nostalgia. I suspect it'll be as bad as those Speed Racer and Voltron cartoons a few years back on Nickelodeon lol
I might have given them the benefit of the doubt if they called it Tetsuwan Atom, but using the edited dub name is a tell they're just trying to hook the nostalgia crowd, man. If any of these companies ever said "Forget that bad dub from 30 years ago, we're making something true-to-the-original and which respects the source material" then I might give it a shot, but this just gives off nostalgia pandering vibes. |
