It sounds like High School of the DeadXBakuman and its artwork reminds of me of Gantz.

Too bad this isn't anime , I doubt we will ever see a proper adaptation of source material now.

Premise sounds interesting, might have to check out the manga.

I always see this at the local Japanese bookstores and it looks awesome, I really hope this gets translated and released within NA sometime soon. I know it's kind of played out, but I still really enjoy the zombie/survival/underdog surviving and the fact that he's a manga artist sounds even cooler.
