Hey everyone.

Could any of you help me to find out where I could buy these two short films? Preferably subbed versions if available:

*Glassy Ocean, by Shigeru Tamura

*Onkyo Seimeitai Noiseman (or) Noiseman Sound Insect, by Koji Morimoto.

If someone could post a link to a site where either of these films are available to buy, I would be very grateful.

Also if you have seen one or both of these films, I would like to know what you thought, are they worth tracking down? I have only read about them, but thought they both sound quite unusual and interesting.

Thanks for any information.

Sorry, those 2 films don't seemed to be licensed so you won't be able to find an english-subbed version. I did find a copy of Glassy Ocean but it's a Korean copy with Korean and Japanese subs. Hope that helps.

Noiseman is fansubbed, so if you really can't find it to buy and want to see it it's out there. I actually thought there was a release for NSI at one point, I'll look...

According to this it is available in Japan from Bandai Visual with English subs and Japanese audio. It may be out of print though.

Glassy Ocean, I dunno, you've made me want to see it now...

Glassy Ocean is also fansubbed, I don't know whether it's available on DVD.

Incidentally, as I understand you can say X is fansubbed but not where to find it, I am within the rules, correct?

Nice, thanks Smile

I really hope they both get licensed at some point though.. I really want to buy real DVD's of them. Mostly Noise man though, that sounds like an interesting concept.

Sigh, I can but wait and hope.

Rolling Eyes hehe.

If ANN can post that in the "Buried Treasure" articles I don't know why you couldn't say that. It's not like you were linking them to a place to get it.

NOISEMAN -was- finally re-issued several months ago, to be sold ONLY inside Lawson's, a Japanese supermarket chain. The prices were ridiculously high but there were several online sites that offered to go to Lawson's and buy it for you. As far as I know no DVD containing NOISEMAN has ever had English subtitles.

I came across the above comment courtesy of a search engine. It comes from a posting on another forum and dates back to early spring 2004(!).
